NEKF Washington Revolution Gathering,,,February 2010

At last the event was here,
I think most of the Revolution pilots that had traveled any distance were staying in the same Hotel.We,TEAM4MATION arrived early
Saturday morning around 8.30am.After a good run up the m6 then across to the A1M.A trip of about 2hours twenty minutes.Traveling around Mac Two.

The flying site was very flat and large.About the size of three football fields, give or take a bit.The weather was cool, but fine. The grass underfoot was
quickly muddy, but we found the sandy areas much more like we are used to.
We bounced out the car to find Felix and Ashley already flying.A site that has become usual at gatherings we have attended.

Ther to greet us was Vince and his Good Lady.As we set up base tents.More people began to arrive.Soon the fields wher full of activity.Bazza,Richard, the F squad,
Quite a good number of new faces from around the country had also made the effort was.I think at last count we had eighteen pilots, give or take a few.

The morning ran on,with old freinds saying hello and catching up and making some new freinds also. The wind and weather was ok as we organised an attempt of the GRID.
Once we had Ten confident pilots together.Stephen Hoath took on the calling and tried several positions in the Ten Grid.
Positions didnt just focus on kites. The ground position was also an area Felix and Stephen wanted to play with and investigate.

The flying was fun as usual, and a great experience for all of us
most people got the general idea of the formation and enjoyed the challenge.
The day moved along, with Gary and Hezz add hocking a large number of pilots in std training moves.Ball, pass throughs and more.I watched as Vince joined us
flying and immedietly brought 75% of us down,,,,lol. Its all a great learning curve.Paul from our team suffered in low winds at times.Even falling A over T in the soft wet Mud.
Again its all good fun.Great experience and i only wish i had a camera at hand.

Most people enjoyed the day and most im sure returned with some new ideas, freinds,or even both.Along with the B D G.

The evening was set for a Good feed at 6.30.Then a quiz, followed by the Haiti Apeal Auction.
Dinner was very enjoyable.Especially in the company we had.The Quiz was a cracker and ofcourse. We beet the Flying Squad or the CRYING SQUAD as we have renamed them.
It was all good spirited and great fun.A very well organised and pleasant evening so far.
The Auction was a great idea and the guy who thought of it.Deserves much praise, much, much praise, and flowers, gifts, free kites,a Porche 911,a medal.
,Ofcourse it was Me who first put the idea forward, but how the Revolution guys rose to the challenge, was enough to bring a lump to ya throat. We all enjoyed the Auction.Which Vince
kept fresh and flowing. With the help of his Beautifull assistant,Pete, one badge Surs. The auction raised nearly £700 for a great cause.Welldone the people who never stop giving
in so many diffrent ways....BRAVO ALL.

I went to bed around 11.30.Merry and looking forward to Sundays fly and a FULL ENGLISH
